What is a Hand Auger?

In 1895, FEIN manufactured the world's first DC hand drill. The shell is made of cast iron and can drill 4mm holes in the steel plate. A hand drill is a small portable drilling tool that is portable and consists of a small motor, a control switch, a drill chuck and a drill.

Hand drills are powered by AC power or DC batteries

A hand drill is an AC power source or a DC battery-powered drilling tool. It is a type of hand-held power tool. The hand drill is the largest sales product in the power tool industry. It is widely used in construction, decoration, furniture and other industries. Holes or holes in objects are also called electric hammers in some industries. Precautions when operating electric drill:
1. Check the power cord for damage before use. If there is, it must be wrapped with insulation tape. Do not be immersed in water or dragged on during use. Do not touch heat sources and corrosive media.
2. For electric drills with metal casing, protective grounding (zero-connection) measures must be taken.
3. Make sure that the hand drill switch is turned off before use to prevent the hand drill from turning suddenly when the plug is plugged into a power outlet.
4. The electric drill should be idling for 0.5 1min before use, check whether the transmission part is flexible and there is no abnormal noise.

Hand drill safe operation regulations

1. The shell of the electric drill must be protected by grounding or neutral connection.
2. The wire of the electric drill should be well protected. It is strictly forbidden to drag the wire to prevent it from being damaged or cut. It is also forbidden to drag the wire into oily water to prevent the water from corroding the wire.
3. Do not wear gloves, jewelry and other items when using to prevent getting caught in the equipment to hurt your hands and wearing rubber shoes; when working in a humid place, you must stand on a rubber pad or a dry wooden board to prevent electric shock.
4. When the electric drill is found to be leaking, vibrating, high heat or abnormal sound during use, stop working immediately and ask an electrician to inspect and repair it.
5. When the electric drill has not completely stopped L rotation, the drill cannot be unloaded or replaced.
6. When the power fails to rest or leave the work place, the power should be cut off immediately.
7, can not be used to drill concrete and brick walls. Otherwise, it is easy to overload the motor and burn the motor. The key lies in the lack of impact mechanism in the motor and the small bearing capacity. [3]
