What Is a Magnetic Particle Inspection?
Magnetic particle inspection uses magnetic particles as a display medium to observe defects. According to the type of magnetic powder medium applied during magnetization, the detection methods are divided into wet and dry methods; according to the time when magnetic powder is applied to the workpiece, the inspection methods are divided into continuous method and residual magnetic method.
- Magnetic particle detection can only be used for detection
- Wet and dry
- Magnetic particles are suspended in oil, water or other liquid media. The method is called wet method.
