What Is a Polymer Capacitor?

Polymer capacitors are chip-type laminated aluminum electrolytic capacitors that use high-conductivity polymer materials as cathodes. They have superior electrical performance over existing liquid chip aluminum electrolytic capacitors and solid chip tantalum electrolytic capacitors. Polymer capacitors are in the rated voltage range and do not require step-down use.
