What is the rupture?

The rupture is when the cut is made parallel to the grain of wood. It is over the cross section, which is when the cut is perpendicular to the grain. While most saws can perform both slices, there are specialized saws that work better in one or the other. In most cases, a desktop saw, Ripsaw or Band Saw works best in the production of rupture and chop or miter saw works best for cross cutting. The biggest difference in the saw specialties is in the shape and placement of the teeth on the blade. This grain gives wood its structural stability and strength. While the tree grows, the grain prevents cracking or bending and extends from the bottom of the tree to the top. If something happens in the same direction as wood fibers, it goes with grain. If something does not follow the path of the fiber, then it is against grain.

When the wood is cut, it is easier to tear and will result in a smoother edge than a cross cut. This is because the grain is naturally divided into forced. This means that saws require less energy in cutting and is less brokenand exposed plant fibers. Cross slices require each fiber in the area to be cut and exposes each end of the fiber along the edge of the cut.

The saw and their arrangement determine the type of cutting for which it is suitable. RIP cut is done using small chisel -shaped teeth. These teeth are cut when they have to, but are more suitable for forcing the fibers to naturally separate. The cross cut is made of teeth in the shape of small knives. These are cut down by fibers when they cross them.

The size and location of the teeth are also different. The pile saw has a much larger and stronger teeth than a cross -cut. Generally, this is because the larger support of the cutting force on the cut of the rupture comes from the operator of the saw. Cross cutting saws have small teeth and more of them, because most of the cutting force come from the teeth. The saw will have all its teeth in a row, while the teeth of the cross cut with a slight alternating outward. These alternate teeth create a wider opening, so the sawdust does not solve the cut.
