What is the rising stem?

Rising stem is a type of valve mechanism in which the stem of the valve rises along with the gate, disc or globe when it is open. This gives a good visual indication to whether the valve is open or not because the increased stem is clearly visible. The rising stem valves may contain static handles or wheels in which the stem is opened from the center of the handles or the handle or that rises with the stem.

Vertical action valves usually have a gate or disk that, when closing, prevents the liquid flow path. These gates are vertically raised by a valve stem when the operating handle or wheel is rotated. This opens the valve flow channel and allows unlimited valve liquid passage. This type of valve uses two basic internal internal designs of gate and stems: an uncomfortable and rising trunk. The non -scoring stems designs will raise the gate around the stem and the rising types of the stems have a strain and the gate that moves up and down together.

rising valve typesThe trunk is also divided into two different types. The first is a valve with a handle that has a trunk attached to it. The valve stem is threaded with a similar thread and passes through the tribal nut and down to the valve gate. When the valve wheel turns, the stem is pulled over the center of the handle, pulling the gate with it and opening the valve in the process. With this variant of the valve, the handle spins, but does not interfere with the stem.

The second type of rising stem valve also has a sub -stem stem that passes through the corresponding fiber in the hood of the valve. In this design, the handle is attached to the stem and when it turns, it rises with the stem as it turns over the threads of the bonnet. In addition to this difference, the operation of these two types is similar. One of the positive features of both is that they provide a good visual indication whether they are open or not.

valves with non -steep stems work in a similar way, but have a gate with a threaded opening through which they pass similarly to each other. When the handle turns, the gateOn the uphill it opens up the stem. This type of valve does not provide any external physical clue about its condition and relies on the indicator or dial to indicate whether it is open or not.
