What Is a Triangular File?
Triangular files can be divided into full-head triangular files, ordinary triangular files, narrow triangular files, extra narrow single-grain triangular files, heavy triangular files, etc. Triangular files are mainly used for cleaning corners and filing dovetail grooves.
- Triangular files are mainly used for micro processing of metal, wood, leather and other surface layers. Flat file, round file, square file
- File composition: file tooth, file surface, bottom tooth pattern, file handle, handle, face tooth.
- Selection of triangle file:
- 1. Rough files are used for filing soft metals, large machining allowances,
- 1. Castings and forgings with hard skin or grit must be ground with a grinding wheel before they can be filed with a semi-sharp file or an old file;
- 2. Don't touch the newly filed surface by hand, so as not to slip when filing again;
- 3. Use a brush to clean the filings. Do not blow with your mouth.
- 4. For files that are blocked by filings, use a wire brush to brush the filings in the direction of the file pattern. If the embedded filings are large, remove them with copper.
- 5. When using a glossy file, do not use too much force to avoid breaking the file;
- 6. The material of the file is high in hardness and brittle. Do not drop it underground or use the file as a striker and lever to pry other objects;
- 7. When storing files, avoid water, oil or other stolen objects, do not overlap or stack them with other hard tools.
- 8. When filing filings, do not touch the filed surface with your hands, because your hands are greasy and slippery when filing.
- 9. The file cannot be used as a skid stick or knock on the workpiece to prevent the file from breaking and hurting people;
- 10. When placing the file, do not expose it to the work surface to prevent the file from falling and hurting your feet; nor can you stack the file with the file or the file with the measuring tool. [1]
