What Is a Tubing Head?
The tubing head is a device part that connects the uppermost casing head and the oil (gas) tree to suspend the tubing and seal the annular space between the tubing and the casing. The tubing head is located above the casing head and includes a casing cross and a tubing hanger. Its role is to suspend the tubing, downhole tools and seal the oil jacket circular space running into the well. [1]
