What is abrasive machining?

abrasive machining is the process of using abrasives to scrape the surface of hard objects. Small grains, called gravel, are used to remove materials in small increments. The process is used for Polish surfaces, cutting hard materials or re-shaped steel. Using grit as abrasive, the operator is able to penetrate the materials too hard for conventional cutting tools.
