What Is Corrugated Galvanized Steel?

Galvanized corrugated steel is a cold-rolled continuous hot-dip galvanized steel sheet and steel strip with a thickness of 0.25 to 2.5 mm. It is widely used in construction, packaging, railway vehicles, agricultural machinery manufacturing and daily necessities.

1.Scratch caused by zinc pot roller
Scratches caused by zinc pot rolls are an important cause of galvanized product scratches, which account for most of the scratch problems. Under normal circumstances, zinc pot rolls are mainly sunk
1. Measures to control the formation of zinc slag:
(1) Control the content of aluminum and iron in the zinc solution.
(2) Control the temperature of zinc liquid. When the temperature of zinc solution is 480 ~ 530 , the iron loss increases sharply; too high temperature can easily cause zinc and aluminum in zinc to self-oxidize.

Zinc slag. Part of the dissolved iron is taken away by the coating, and the rest is present in the zinc pot in the form of scum, bottom slag and free slag. Zinc slag is easy to adhere to the surface of the strip and affects the surface quality of the strip. Generally, the temperature of the zinc pot is controlled at (460 ± 3) ° C, but when the temperature is too low, the fluidity and wettability of the zinc liquid will also deteriorate, which will also affect the surface quality of the strip.
(3) Slag removal. The production of zinc slag is unavoidable due to the chemical nature of aluminum and the temperature of the zinc liquid in the production of galvanizing. Scum is generally used for slag removal. It is necessary to pay attention to the scum removal at the strip steel outlet in the zinc pot. , Because the scum here easily adheres to the surface of the strip.
2. Thick edge defect resolution measures:
Adjust the shape of the air knife lip seam to increase the injection pressure at the edge of the strip. What's more important is that the height of the air knife should be adjusted accordingly with the speed of the production line. When the speed of the production line is low, the time it takes for the strip to reach the air knife after it exits the zinc pot becomes longer. During the cooling of the zinc liquid, the edge of the strip cools faster and the zinc liquid starts to solidify. The zinc layer will be thicker. At this time, if the air knife height is reduced in time to shorten the zinc liquid cooling time, this problem can be solved. When the speed of the production line is high, due to the increase of the air knife blowing pressure, the zinc liquid splash is also large, and the air knife is easily blocked, so the air knife height should be increased in time.
3, air knife streak defect resolution measures:
The operator should not be too wide when lifting the production line, and pay attention to the shape of the incoming material. If the shape is poor, the air knife spacing should be increased in time, and the strip should be adjusted by adjusting the tension, the correction roller, and the stabilizer roller A good straightness is obtained in the middle of the air knife nozzle to prevent the steel scraper from forming a blockage. If there are air knife streaks, you can quickly open the air knife when the weld passes and clean it with special tools. [2]
