What Is Tape Correction?
It is a general term for a method of editing a tape by direct editing or indirect editing. It is also one of the methods often used in post-production.
Tape editing
- Direct editing is to copy one or several
- Indirect editing is to use the characteristics of time code to transcribe the original material tape (with time code) onto the work tape, that is, low-grade
- CTL editor needs to use
- Time code editing is an advanced editing method for the late editing of TV programs. It has high editing precision, strong automation and high efficiency, and is widely used in TV program production. Can make the editing work accurate to the frame, will not run.
- (Offline editing) and online (online) editing
- Offline editing: Compared to online editing, it is one of the main forms of tape editing. in
- Assemble: Assemble editing is to add a new picture to the recorded picture and transmit video, audio signals and time code at the same time.
- Features:
- Demagnetization of combined editing: vertical total degaussing head and rotary degaussing head are all in working state.
- Re-record all tracks: that is, the video signal on the material band during the combined editing. Audio signals, control signals, and time code signals are all recorded on the newly programmed tapes at the same time, and they are all re-recorded.
- Track condition at the end: In this method, when editing is stopped, a blank part of the ladder shape that is erased by the total degaussing head will be left. Missing.
- Insert Edit: Insert edit is to insert a new program to a predetermined point on the tape. Video signals, two audio channels and time code can be transmitted separately or simultaneously.
- Features:
- Must have a control track. When insert editing, the new control track is not recorded, and the control track on the original tape is retained.
- Judging from the working condition of the recorder, insert editing only uses the rotating degaussing head to erase the video track, while the fixed degaussing head does not work.
- Can insert video, audio track and time code track (time code track can be inserted in advanced video).
- There are precise end-to-end joints for inserting the lens.
- The end track will not be broken.
- Comparison of combined editing and insert editing:
- The combination editing is to add a new program after the tape of the existing program. The image (video signal), sound (CH1 / CH2), time code (TC), and control track (CTL) on the player are transmitted to the recorder, which is also called copy mode.
- Insert editing is to insert a new program in the middle of the complete program's tape. Video signals and sound signals can be inserted as needed to record on the recorder.
- Using the combined editing method, while recording video and audio tracks, control tracks are also recorded. With insert editing, video and audio tracks are recorded without the control track being replaced.
- Insert editing cannot be performed on blank tapes as in combination editing. It must be performed on a tape with control tracks recorded. If a new tape is to be used, the control signals must be recorded in advance.
- The combination editing accuracy is low, and the insert editing accuracy is high.
- Tape camera has full degaussing head, video recording / demagnetizing head, video degaussing head, time code recording / demagnetizing head, time code degaussing head, CH1 / CH2 recording / demagnetizing head, CH1 / CH2 degaussing head, CTL recording / reproducing head, CTL degaussing head . The difference between the working mode of combined editing and insert editing heads is whether the degaussing head works. [1-2]
