How Do I Treat an Ear Wax Blockage?
Ear canal obstruction is a disease caused by clogging the ear canal. Commonly known as earwax and earwax, it is the normal secretion of the ear canal, which can be prolapsed on its own without causing blockage and causing symptoms. If it coagulates and nucleates, blocking the ear canal and making the tube inaccessible, it will become ears, also known as embolism.
Blocked ear canal
- The external ear canal is a curved tube from the external ear canal to the tympanic membrane, with a total length of about 2.1 to 2.5 cm. The outer 1/3 is cartilage and the inner 2/3 is bony. The inner surface of the external auditory canal is covered with a layer of skin that is in close contact with the cartilage or periosteum below, making it difficult to move. The sensory nerve endings in the skin are abundant, and when suffering from bloated, it is extremely painful. The cartilage skin contains hair follicles, sebaceous glands, and gadolinium similar to sweat glands. Its secretion is gadolinium, which protects the ear canal. Ear-wax is formed when the stare is mixed with the shed epithelium and dust. The skin in the bones is thin and lacks structures such as hair and sebaceous glands.
- If too much ear oil is secreted or the automatic cleaning process of the ear canal is disturbed, ear wax can build up and block the ear canal.
- Local inspection found radon obstruction as the main diagnostic basis.
- If the radon nucleus does not completely block the ear canal, there are no obvious symptoms. If the radon nucleus is large or when the radon nucleus is swollen with water, which completely obstructs the ear canal, there is a sense of congestion and hearing loss. If the eardrum is compressed, it can cause tinnitus and dizziness. Compression damages the ear canal skin, which can cause ear canal swelling, pain, and erosion. Examination of the ear canal shows a dark brown hafnium nucleus, blocking the ear canal, some soft as wax, or hard as stone.
- It should be distinguished from the following symptoms:
- Foreign body in the ear canal
- Ear canal foreign body refers to the injury caused by foreign body accidentally entering the external ear canal.
- 2. Ear canal pus
- When inflammation occurs in the external auditory canal or middle ear, pus flow can occur in the ear canal. TCM treats diseases with pierced eardrums and pus in the ears as the main symptoms.

- Get rid of ear digging habits. If you know that there is something wrong, you must go to the hospital to ask a doctor to remove it. Do not clean the ear canal with cotton swabs or other objects, as this will damage the ear canal and push the ear wax deeper. Avoid places with a lot of smoke. Wear earplugs when swimming. If earwax often clogs the ear canal, regular eardrops that soften the earwax should be used.
