What are solid orthodontics?

Fixed orthodontics is the hardware connected to the patient's mouth by an orthodontist and should only be removed by an orthodontist. This type of hardware is usually left for the duration of orthodontic treatment of the patient, although some solid orthodontics - such as braces - require periodic adjustments. In most cases, patients are equipped with these devices for one or more years, so the teeth can be slowly moved. Once these orthodontics are removed, the patient's teeth remain in their new positions and subsequent treatment is rarely needed. Patients who need braces will have holders and wires to their teeth. These metal accessories slowly attract teeth to align and need to adjust them as the teeth move around. Once the treatment is completed, the orthodontist will have to remove braces from the patient's mouth, as special tools are necessary to safely remove the hardw. These holders called fixed holders are attached to the top of the patient's mouth and fit around beforeParts of some patient teeth. This type of solid orthodontics is usually used to keep the teeth in place as soon as they are moved using another orthodontic hardware, such as braces.

In addition to these relatively common types of solid orthodontics that move teeth, there are also solid orthodontics that can be used to change the shape of the patient's mouth. The lingual arch can be used to ensure that the jaw keeps its shape. This device is used in young children when their baby teeth fall out. Other devices called a palatal expander can be placed between the upper back in the rear stools tost the upper jaw.

other commonly used but not solid orthodontics include holders and head equipment. Maintainers can be used before the insertion of braces or after they are removed to continue to support the right tooth alignment. Head Gear is designed to work with the patient rIn order to stop the jaw growth, which could lead to excessive bits or to encourage jaw growth to prevent the subbit. These devices, unlike fixed orthodontics, can be removed by the patient. Fixed orthodontics are all connected to the patient's mouth in such a way that a visit to the orthodontist is required when the time to remove the device comes.
