What are the common side effects of Humira?

Humira® is a prescription drug that is commonly prescribed in the treatment of various types of arthritis. Unlike most drugs that are used orally, Humira® is most often provided as an injection. Sinus inflammation and chronic headaches are two of the most common side effects of Humira®, although the development of the allergic reaction is also relatively common. Surprisingly, those prescribed by Humira® are also an increased risk of developing tuberculosis, and because of this high risk, other prescription drugs, which have proved effective in preventing tuberculosis infection.

Some of the most common side effects of Humira® include sinus inflammation and headaches. Usually, these symptoms can be treated relatively easily with over -the -counter painkillers. Individuals who experience these symptoms and do not reach relief by drugs without a prescription should seek medical assistance. While in most cases these symptoms are relatively quickly dispersed after treatment, in some casesHou require more intense medical assistance.

The development of an allergic reaction is another common side effect of Humira® and should be treated with caution. The most common symptoms of allergic reaction caused by drug use are difficult breathing, itching, tightness or chest pain, hives and redness of the skin or rash. Those who experience these symptoms should consult with a doctor as soon as possible. Usually, once the individual has suffered an allergic reaction, the use of the drug is interrupted. Continued use of Humira® after the development of an allergic reaction can lead to even more dangerous side effects and in some cases may even be life -threatening.

Humira® side effects have also been found to include developers from a number of serious infections. Although the risk of tuberculosis is relatively low in the general public, studies suggest that those who use Humira® face a relatively high risk of developing this condition. Those who are identified as an increased risk of tuberculosis development are often prescribed by additional anti-tuberculosis, which is highly effective in preventing infection. However, those who are at risk are still carefully monitored on Humira® to quickly identify any signs of possible tuberculosis infections. Individuals diagnosed with tuberculosis after Humira® use commonly show specific symptoms, including dramatic weight loss, chronic cough, muscle loss and high fever, which will not disappear.
