The most common side effects of Imuran® are nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite. For example, when Imuran® is used with alopurinol, this may increase the risk of side effects and withdrawing with inhibitors of the converting angiotensin (ACE), Imuran® can induct anemia.
Imuran® is a brand for azathioprin, an immunosuppressive drug. Immunosuppressive drugs suppress the production of lymphocytes T and B, which are two types of white blood cells. The common side effects of Imuran® are nausea and vomiting. These can be associated with loss of appetite. They may also include shortness of breath, unusual bleeding, unusual growth, hair loss and yellowish skin or eyes.
