What are the common side effects of DIVANA?

DIVAN®, a Valsartan brand, is a drug that works by dilatation of blood vessels to treat congestive heart failure and high blood pressure. DIVAN® is generally well tolerated and most of the side effects, if they exist, are smaller. The most commonly reported side effects DIVAN® are headaches and dizziness. Other side effects may vary depending on the condition for which the patient is treated. The most serious side effects of DIVAN® can cause conditions that can lead to kidney failure, but these cases are extremely rare. Other side effects include sensitivity to bright light or sunlight, fatigue, dry mouth, loss of appetite, impotence and unprecedented weight gain. Serious allergic reactions to this drug may include rashes, hives, itching, breathing problems, tight chest and facial swelling. Patients should contact your doctor immediately when any of these symptoms are present.

Side effects DIVAN®, especially in patients treated with youSocial blood pressure, most often include cough, fatigue and abdominal pain. An increase in potassium levels in these patients was also reported. In addition, a small percentage of users experienced symptoms similar to cold or influenza as one of the possible side effects of DIVAN®.

After use DIVAN®, patients who are treated for congestive heart failure have a tendency to experience potassium levels more often than those treated for high blood pressure. A small percentage of them also experienced an excessive drop in blood pressure due to the drug. Diarrhea, fatigue, joint pain and back pain were also reported as side effects of the drug for patients with congestive heart failure.

More serious side effects are much more rare. These include unprecedented blisters, skin peeling, fainting spells, and an inexplicable reduction in urination. Fast or irregular heart rhythm, numbness, feelings of armor, feverOr chills are other examples of side effects that should be reported to the patient as soon as possible.

In extreme cases, DIVAN® can lead to renal failure, especially in patients who already have kidney problems before taking medication. DIVAN® can cause a condition that essentially leads to the disintegration of skeletal muscle tissue. In the end, it will result in kidney failure. Patients should talk to their doctors if they have a history of kidney disease and should inform their doctor as soon as possible if they experience muscle, tenderness, fever, nausea, vomiting or brownish urine after taking this drug.
