What are the different treatments of the condyle fracture?

Condyle is a rounded part of the bone, which is usually located inside the joint, and this articulates in conjunction with another bone. When this part of the bone is cracked from the impact or twisting, there was a fracture of the condyle. This can happen in the elbow, knees or other joints in the body in which condyles are present. Treatment of condyle fracture usually begins with the immobilization of the affected joint or bone to prevent further damage and reducing pain. Initial treatment usually includes a rice process that means rest, ice, compression and increase. Minor cases of condyle fractures can be treated relatively easily, but more complex fractures will require more intense treatment, so it is best to try to prevent excessive damage to the condyle. The X -ray is likely to diagnose the condyle fracture and assess the severity of the injury. If no bone fragments are present, surgery can usually be avoided, but if any part of the bone is separated, surgery may be required to removeThis bone chips and possibly other damaged tissues.

smaller to medium fractures of condyle will usually be treated with anti -inflammatory drugs and immobilization. The doctor is likely to use a hard cast to move the bones during the treatment process. This cast will protect the bones from further injury, prevent movement and add compression that stimulates blood flow and accelerates the healing process. Painkillers can also be prescribed because the fracture of the condyle may be a relatively painful condition depending on the severity of the injury.

If the operation is required, the healing time will be extended and any OPZ surgery will be treated. Infections can complicate the process, so the wound must always be maintained clean and dry. The dressings should change regularly until the wound heals properly and, like smaller fractures, the affected area will have to be immobilized for a long time. ToEven healing may vary anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Once the injury is recovered enough, the patient is likely to undergo physical rehabilitation to restore functionality and mobility into the affected area.
