What are the different types of citalopram tablets?

Citalopram tablets that contain a drug called selective serotonin reuptide (SSRI) inhibitor varies most by force and color. The drug comes in two different shapes and may have slightly different inactive ingredients. Some manufacturers offer this medicine in the form of an elixir for people who have difficulty swallowing pills. The updated version of this antidepressant, called escitalopram, also exists, but they are not the same drugs. Doses greater than 40 mg are generally not considered therapeutically beneficial. There is no correct force that works for each person, and patients can be as commonly helpful with 10 mg as with 40 mg.

It is often good to compare tablets with other versions of the drug. In the case of citalopram, the form of an elixir of 10 mg citalopram with 5 milliliters of solution is issued. This form can be most commonly used for children. On the other hand, some adults have difficulty swallowing pills and may prefer the elixir over the tablets of citalopram. When they get medication, they may noticedifferent colors. It is common to get white, yellow and light or clearly orange or red pills. Because one color does not always correspond to some strength, people should not rely on it if they start to receive tablets from another manufacturer.

There is a considerably smaller variation in the shape of tablets citalopram. They are usually either round or oval. Some tablets are coated and many pills are completely or partially scored.

, with the exception of the presence of different dyes, it is unlikely that there would be significant changes in the formula in connection with inactive ingredients. To create and stabilize drugs, components such as cellulose, polyethylene glycol and lactose are often used. If patients have sensitivity to chemicals, they can be able to find a supplier who does not include citalopram tablets using a pharmacist. This may not always be possible.

As already mentioned, the updated version of the tablet Citalop is availableframe. This is called escitalopram and is enatiomer or an asymmetric mirror image, chemical structures of older antidepressants. For patients who are satisfied with citalopram, it is the only reason why it is worthy of notes when recipes are filled. If the new tablet looks significantly different, it can be escitalopram. It can help know that the usual strengths of escitalopram are slightly different, at 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg.
