What is the Boston Relig?

Boston strut is a non -surgical device used to help correct idiopathic scoliosis, better known as the curvature of the spine. The purpose of the orthosis is to prevent the deterioration of the spine curvature as the child grows. Scoliosis is most common in children who are 10 to 15 years old and affect girls more often than boys. Approximately five of each 1,000 American children, as well as five of each 5,000 children around the world, are equipped with Rona every year.

The purpose of using Boston orthosis is to control back pain, offer a method to prevent increased spinal deformity and immobilize the spine to help stabilize weak and injured joints. It is the most popular thoracic lumbar sacral brace (TLSO) used worldwide for scoliosis. The braces were developed in the Boston Children's Hospital at the age of 70. They can also be mounted if necessary. Each Brace is made of the type of thermoplastic material, which is lined with polyethylene foam. Repair the backbone curvature using pads inside the orthosis to place mthe amount of pressure on the ribs. This shifts the body forward in the orthosis and holds it upright to prevent the spine curvature from increasing. It usually opens at the back and extends from the blades to the pelvis.

In order to be successful in Boston, a medical plan must usually be followed. This usually involves leaving all meetings with an orthopedist, orthotists, a physiotherapist and will require completion of exercise daily. The successful treatment plan also usually involves carrying Boston orthosis for 22 to 23 hours a day.

The patient will usually have to wear firmly fitting T -shirts under the orthosis to prevent skin reflection. The child can walk and sit on the chair while wearing. If a child has difficulty adapting to rising, it may be important to take the time to explain the importance of wearing the orthosis. Almost all children aged 10 to 18 may feel at varying degrees of stress, shame, anger, fear and denial when wearing BostonOrthies. Once the initial setting time is terminated, most children adapt to it without any problems.
