What is the listening tube?

The listening tube is a channel through which the sound of a person who has a listener enters the ear. It is one of the simplest hearing aid components and does not contain any electronics. The microphone, the amplifier and the hearing aid speaker increase the volume of the sound before directing it to the hearing aid and the ear canal.

The sound travels to the ear using the listening tube. This tube is a hollow piece of plastic that runs from the speaker to the hearing aid from which the reinforced sound is transmitted to the inside of the human ear. This part of the hearing aid is worn over time and should be replaced regularly.

In order to work properly on the hearing aids, it is important to clean it regularly. The ears can be built on the tube, as in the ear canal channel. Cleaning is a simple process and can be done with a relatively cheap tool called cleaning fiber.

Finally, the tube will fall apart and need to be replaced. It is possible to do this from a professional, although many patients have decided to replace tubesEven hearing aids at home. This is easy, but the tube specification must be known because many different tube sizes are available. After removing the old tube, a new part of the correct size of the hearing aid can be inserted. It is easier to put a slightly longer piece than needed, and after it is connected, it cuts it to the size.

Most of the auditory aids can be equipped with either the hearing aid or the hearing aid. The main difference between the tube and the receiver is that the tube does not extend into the ear canal, while the receiver stretches deeper into the ear, closer to the ear drum. The pipes are cheaper than the receiver, even if they are less accurate and do not offer the clarity the receiver does.
