What is a nasolabial fill?

Nasolabial filler is a product used to fill wrinkles between the nose and mouth called nasolabial folds. These skin features appear with age and when they begin to form, they differ from man to man. An alternative to the full plastic surgery on the face is the injection of the area that can consist of collagen, fat and neurotoxins. The particles and synthetic water -based materials can be injected. Each type of treatment of nasolabial folds takes some time and some may have side effects that need to be considered. These toxins are often injected around the eyes and the forehead. It is known that their effects last up to six months at a time. The collagen derived from the cow, also called beef, is used as a nasolabial fillers and also around the eyes and lips. Most of this tends to disperse in a few months and repeated treatment is necessary to create a lasting level of substance. The alternative is to mix collagen with synthetic plastic microspherons that remain in solution to permanent repairthe folds or at least several years.

Another type of nasolabial filler is dermal fillers, which are gels based on water or natural acid body, which are injected to fill the facial elements. These can last from several months to several years. When hyaluronic acid is used, allergic reactions are unlikely because it is usually contained in the body as carbohydrate, unlike beef type fillers. The fat from other parts of the body is an alternative way to fill the nasolabial folds. The result may take a long but but is not as predictable as other treatment options.

Most types of Nasolabial filler are available under specific brands. Each type is more suitable for certain parts of the face, different types of wrinkles or scars and other skin conditions. The advantage is that treatment of nasolabial folds is faster and cheaper than surgery and there is little time recoverythan to deal with a residual swelling after the procedure.
