What is Grasper?

Grasper with suture is a hand tool used in many surgery. It can be used to close cuts in laparoscopic surgery, sewing wounds or binding bleeding blood vessels. This tool can be used to attach prosthetic materials such as the net, to the inside of the abdominal wall in hernia repair, or separate the abdominal organs from the abdominal wall to prevent adhesion. The small tool size allows the surgeon to close small wounds without creating a larger cut.

Most sewing grip is designed to use one hand. Some are repeatedly usable devices that must be sterilized after each use. The separable part of the needle can be replaced if it becomes damage, boring or bent. Other stitch griping is designed for use in one patient and then intended for discarding.

One version of the device looks similar to a very large syringe assembly. At the top of the Grasper seams there is a round inch ring of the tool descriptor. On each side of the handle are two round loops and into which the fingers are inserted when using the tool. The needle with a pliers at the very end is attached to the Grasper Handles.

For the use of this type of grasper seams, the surgeon pushes the inch ring in and reveals part of the pliers in the needle. After opening the pliers, the seams are inserted into the hole. To slide the pliers and hold the sewing, the surgeon pulls back to the inch ring.

Another form of Grasper seams has a handle designed to hold with your entire hands. The sprouts on this tool can be used to place stitches, pick up fallen stitches, or grasp and movement of the tissue when the stitches are placed in the wound. Compressing the handle opens the pliers to grab the stitch fiber and release the pressure on the handle causes the pliers to close again.

The third type of grasper has scissor handles connected to the needle and tongs. The yeasts are limited to make it easy to gripIly the seams. This tool is used to load the stitches that could fall into the body cavity.

6 Pressing the piston causes the tongs to leave the body of the needle. When the piston is inserted, the pliers clamping down on the stitch sub -stem and pulling them into the needle. This Grasper seam is sterilized before sending to a medical facility.
