What is a bandage tape?

The

bandadades, also referred to as surgical or medical tape, is the type of first aid offer used to ensure a bandage or bandage through the wound. There are many varieties of retaining tape, but some common features are that it is usually elastic, has built -in adhesive and is made of breathable material. Once the bandage is placed over the wound, the medical tape must be packed over the wound in a way that prevents the bandage or tape from moving as possible. In some cases, it is possible to dress the wound at home, while some wounds are so serious that a healthcare professional in the office or emergency room of the hospital should wear a wound. Once the wound is properly cleaned and dressed, for example with gauze or zone aids, it is time to apply a bandage tape. This is done simply wrapped repeatedly the tape around the bandage until the bandage is safe. For example, a stomach wound will require a greater length of surgical tape than a wound on the forearm because they must be several timeswrapped around the patient's waist.

As soon as it is packed, the tape can be cut with scissors and sometimes can be easily detached, depending on the brand and type, or even may come in preliminary lengths. The built -in adhesive in the bandage tape allows it to be easy to hold. This adhesive is made of hypoallergenic material that leaves the rest of the adhesive on the skin and does not cause any unnecessary pain when removing.

Medical tape is usually white, but can also come in virtually any other color. The size may vary from thin to wide, allowing the use of tape for many types of injuries. The bandades are obviously a necessity in emergency rooms, hospitals and emergency medical sets. A person who gives blood will usually have a place on his arm, where the needle penetrated with a bandage tape.

Bandadades are also used directly on sports equipment, asThey are tennis missiles, baseball bats and more. When used for equipment, the tape can be durable and yet offers better grip and can also be quite impermeable for movement and sweat that are associated with sport. Athletic bandage tape also exists for the use of athletes on body parts, such as ankles and elbows to help play joints that can cause problems or simply offer more support. The bandage straps even exist for pets and are designed to not stick to the hair or skin.
