- The total amount of chromium in adults is about 6mg. Chromium is absorbed by the intestine and enters the plasma to bind to transferrin, which transports chromium to the liver and the body. Chromium is mainly excreted by the urine. Chromium can increase the breakdown and excretion of cholesterol, reduce cholesterol in the blood, and prevent the formation of arteriosclerosis. Chromium is also an effective component of glucose tolerance factor, which functions to help insulin utilize glucose. Therefore, the amount of chromium in the body is inversely related to the incidence of cardiovascular disease. The protective effect of chromium on cardiovascular is related to its participation in glucose and lipid metabolism.

- (1) This method is characterized by the use of a platform graphite furnace atomization technology, integrated absorbance, dilution of samples and chromium standard solutions with matrix modifiers containing dihydrogen phosphate, Triton-X 100 and nitric acid, and simple continuous background correction These are the basic conditions for stable temperature platform graphite furnace (STPF) technology. Methodological evaluation results: The minimum detection limit is about 5 g / L (0.025 mol / L), precision: CV 0.4% -5.4% within batches, CV 1.0% -4.7% between batches; accuracy: low-quality chromium control substance (The target value is about 70g / L) The measured value is within the target value ± 10g / L; the measured value of the high-concentration chromium control substance (target value> 200g / L) is within the target value ± 6% target value range. The correlation between this method and B-Pb measured by AAS (4100 2L) with Zeeman background correction is good (y = 1.005X + 0.089, r2 = 0.997, n = 44). (2) In the ashing procedure of this method, the step of "cooling" is added after "pyrolysis" to reduce the influence of the thermal gradient along the graphite furnace. This step is suitable for AAS with longitudinally heated graphite furnace (such as PE 311O type AAS). Sideheated furnance does not have this thermal gradient (such as PE 4100 2L type AAS), and it can be cooled without pyrolysis. (3) When using continuous background-corrected AAS for B-Pb measurement, sometimes the analysis result is low, or the analysis signal is lower than the baseline. This situation is generally caused by interference caused by unaligned light sources. The instrument should be carefully adjusted so that the beam of the background corrector exactly overlaps that of the hollow cathode lamp. (4) After the establishment of the method, the accuracy and precision of the standard material evaluation method should be used; during the sample measurement process, the standard material should be used for quality control inspection. The Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine Environmental Hygiene Monitoring supplies all "standard materials for analysis of chromium in whole blood" authorized by the National Metrology Bureau.
