What Is Hyperbaric Medicine?
High blood pressure refers to the pressure of blood on blood vessels when the heart contracts. Adults with arterial blood pressure exceeding 140/90 mm Hg are called hypertension. There are two types, one is called symptomatic hypertension, which is caused by certain diseases, and the other is called essential hypertension, which is caused by cerebral cortical dysfunction. The latter is often referred to as hypertension.
