What is Kshara?
Kshara, or Kshar, is an alternative medical treatment developed in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of disorders. It includes the use of an alkaline mixture of herbs and ash, sometimes called Kshara Powder, which has caustic properties. In India, this treatment is often used to treat skin conditions such as abscesses, warts, tumors and ulcers. Kshar is also involved in the treatment of Ayurveda called Kshara Sutra, commonly used in India to treat anal fistulas and hemorrhoids. In this treatment, the corrosive mixture is applied to a fiber or string, which is then tied around unwanted tissue to remove. Ayurvedic texts were written in Sanskrit and in this language "Kshar" means a caustic or alkaline substance. Kshara is based on medical practices listed in old Ayurvedic texts, but Ayurvedic practitioners further developed in the last century.
To prepare this treatment of Ayurveda, different whole plants and herbs are burned and the ashes are treated and mixed with various other medicinal components before useIT on the body. Two common plants used are Euphorbia Nerifolia, a type of tree and achyrants as Aspera, a medicinal herb. The ashes contain various chemicals such as sodium, potassium, sulfur and phosphorus. In addition to its caustic properties, it is assumed that Kshara powder has antimicrobial, healing and cleaning properties. The powder is produced in three different forces depending on the physical condition of the patient and the treatment of health: Mrid or diluted; Madhyam or medium; and Tikshane, or strong.
Kshara Sutra is a sanskrit for "caustic thread" and in this treatment the mixture of KShar is used for multiple laundry coating. This fiber is then allowed to dry before it is tied around the afflicoblast now, usually fistula, tumor or hemorrhoid. Hylobus materials on the fiber slowly cut unwanted tissue until it is removed. It may take one to three weeks and repeated Kshara Sutra applications. Studie ukazují, že ošetřené vlákno obvykle prochází tkáni rychlostí 0,4 palce (1 cm) týdně.
supporters of thisTreatments argue that it is more advantageous before surgery and other main therapeutic treatment, because there is no bleeding, faster healing and no scarring. Clinical studies have been carried out to support some of these claims, but this remains alternative medical treatment. Kshara is not recommended for pregnant women, children or older people. It is advisable to consult a doctor before using this treatment.
