What Is the Difference Between Tachycardia and Bradycardia?
Bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome, also known as slow-fast syndrome, is a subtype of sick sinus syndrome and its most common and typical manifestation. It is mainly characterized by bradycardia and the sinoatrial node. Impediment formation or sinus impulses are transmitted to the atrium, causing slow sinus rhythm (sinus block or sinus arrest), and concurrent tachyarrhythmia. Occasional tachyarrhythmias are most common with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
