What is the history of Listerine & Reg?

LISTERINE® history is quite fascinating and records shifts that the product goes along its way to become famous. Listerine® was historically used for all kinds of things, from floor cleaning to gonorrhea treatment; Only in the 1970s Listerine® became used exclusively as mouthwash. This product has also essentially created mouthwash in the pharmacy by creating consumer demand for products to treat bad breath. Lister's work has prepared a way to the modern antiseptic operating room and is responsible for the dramatic decrease in the mortality of the patients that occurred in the 19th century. Listerine® was originally formulated in 1879 by Dr. Nicole Dyer Lawrence and Christian Bach as a surgical antiseptic. It was used to clean surgical sites and irrigation of wounds, reducing the risk of dangerous VFEKE after surgery. The company claimed that Listerine® would eliminate bad breath and also that it could use it to treat colds and sore throat. LISTERI was at that timeNO® also used to clean the injury on the playground in the battle during the First World War and doctors used it as a versatile antiseptic.

In the 1920s, Listerine® manufacturers launched a bold advertising campaign that was designed to focus on a bad breath. Before the arrival of this campaign was not a bad breath for most people the main problem; Listerine® manufacturers have popularized the term "halitosis" and in the forefront of consumers, they have breathed bad and encourage them to solve the problem with regular listerin ® use. The sale of the product exploded and bad breath has become the main social problem.

This marketing campaign meant the main transition in the history of the product, which was originally designed for use as an antiseptic, and the primary use for Listerine® began to move to oral care, although the demands on cough and cold efficiency suffered up to 70 years. ConsumptionTele can choose between multiple formulations that are designed to attack bacteria in the mouth in the hope that in addition to reducing bad breath, they will create better health of the oral cavity. Although Listerine® can be an effective supplement to regular oral care, it is highly recommended by flossing and brushing, as well as trips to a dentist who monitors your oral health.
