What is wood oil?
Wood Lock® is an actual analgesic made of menthol, coffee, turpentine, cinnamon and mint, giving it a distinctive scent. It also contains methyl salicylate, a compound renanding pain that is related to the effective component in aspirin, and a proprietary mixture of herbs. It is usually used to treat sore muscles and joints, to relieve back pain and alleviate arthritis. Although it can be effective, this can cause side effects, especially if it is used incorrectly. There are a number of related products with similar formulas, but without the same combination of herbs.
Use
This oil is most often used as a local painkiller for muscle spasms and pain, general joint pain and tendon pain. The treatment of arthritis pain is very often used and can temporarily increase circulation in the area to which it is wiped. It can be applied before or after training to reduce muscle pain, but some people get a rash if they put it on before exercise. Can also use this pain in painhead and clean the cavities. In the terminology of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), it increases the heat of an area that can soothe pain and improve the flow of qi or energy in the area.
application
LOCK® wood can be imposed into the affected area as a liniment or can be applied by acupressure. To this end, the person puts two or three drops of oil on the skin and then pushes the oil into the skin with several fingers, sometimes shaking in small circles around the area. This is usually done for about 15 minutes. It is best to oil oil on small parts of the skin before using it to check possible allergies.
Possible side effects
Some ingredients in Wood Lock® oil can cause skin irritation, especially to fine areas such as skin or genital skin. Related products
There are a number of products with similar ingredients, including Chan Yat Hing® medicinal oil and white flower oil, which was based on Wood Lock® oil recipe. Both can be used to relieve minor pain and pain, although Chan Yat Hing® has much less methyl salicylate than Wood Lock® oil. There are also several versions of Knock-off, which often come in a similar packaging, but may have completely different ingredients.
