How can I stretch my own screen?

A professionally stretched canvas can be somewhat expensive. Fortunately, it is relatively easy to stretch the canvas in the studio, especially with an assistant. It may take several test runs to learn how to do it right, but once the artist conveniently stretches his own screen, it will look like it is worth the effort. In addition to saving money by stretching the canvas, artists will also have better control of the canvas size, allowing them to create their own pieces.

For stretching the canvas, several tools are needed. Start with a stretcher or frame over which the canvas will be stretched. If the canvas is large, supportive cross braces will also be needed. Another important ingredient is the canvas itself. Many art stores sell the roles of the canvas that should be not endanger for stretching. You want to provide a canvas, you will need a hammer with carpet studs or a terminal weapon. Finally, a set of pliers on the canvas greatly helps to stretch Canva, even if they are not strictly necessary.

Once all the canvas tools have been assembled in a clean and dry place, start by assembling a stretcher. Make sure they are conveniently interconnected and squares before nailing or stapling together. You can use a grid or T-rhinets to make sure the stretcher is square or you can measure the canvas to see if the distances are the same. Once you are sure that the stretcher is square, introduce a canvas and cut a square that is larger than a stretcher. The canvas will have to wrap part of the journey around the stretcher, so be generous with your slices.

When you stretch the screen, you start from the center and work in, you always work on the opposite sides. Light or nail canvas to the center of one of the supportive support and then move to the opposite side to stretch the canvas so tight as you can get it. Knocked on the canvas will help you grab the canvas without hurting your hands, and as ASIister can hold a stretcher and canvas to help you firmly stretch the canvas over the frame. Move to the center of one of the sides and repeat the process to stretch the canvas. Then start working along the edges of the supports. When you reach the corners, fold them neat and pull them down.

After you have stretched the canvas, you can prepare it or leave it without resistance, depending on personal taste. You can either stretch the canvas for each piece one by one, or you can give the day a stretch canvas to store a range of canvas you can work with. In any case, keep the materials in a cool, dry place and do not expose them to moisture or excessive heat. Storage of a canvas apartment will also help prevent deformation.
