How can I build a harp?

To create a harp, several simple materials and the use of the workshop are required. Although the harp can be built from different materials, wooden harps are the most common and easiest to build. Harps needs a sound box and two sides that form a triangle when attached to the sound plate. The strings are stretched from the sound box to one of the sides and tuned using the tuning pins.

The first step needed to create a harp is the design of the sound box. It must be sufficiently robust to withstand the tension formed by a chain when they are firmly overcast. The air inside this box acts as an amplifier for string vibrations, allowing the sound created by twitching strings to the echo. Although the exact dimensions of this box are not important, they must be long enough to conveniently adapt all the chains.

Once the soundbox is built, another thing needed to position the harp is the design andConnecting neck and column, two more sides of the tool. The neck is a curved piece attached to the top of the sound box and allows the chains of different lengths to both pieces. Incorrectly created neck can make the harp tune more difficult. The pillar is made of a straight piece of wood, which is attached to the neck and sound box. In order to build a harp, the shape and proportion of these three pieces must be accurate.

After assembling the three pages of the harp, the strings must be connected. On the sound plate, the chains are connected to the harp via a series of holes drilled by 0.5 inches (1.3 centimeters) apart. The chains can be suspended or maintained on site, even if the use of pins. The strings are attached to the tuning pegs that can be turned to tighten or release the string. Pins can be made of wood or metal and must be connected to the harp in Manner, which allows them to turn freely.

The creator of the harp may also want to build a base and legs. These parts are sitting between the sound box and the column and allowing the harp to remainWhether in an upright position. Without them, the harp must be held to play.
