How can I plant a Japanese maple?

Japanese maples or acer palmatum are considered to be some of the most beautiful trees. They may have red or green leaves and usually have short figures. Some are grown only as bonsai. Many consider the elegance of these trees extremely attractive and decided to plant them. With a little care, when people grow Japanese maple, the trees can prosper and live to be pleased for many years.

For those who would like to plant Japanese maple, there are several considerations. First, people should determine where and when to plant a tree or trees. Some gardeners recommend the selection early in the spring after the last frost for planting. Others suggest that trees can be safely planted throughout spring and summer, or even in early autumn.

The idea must be given where the trees will be most happy. Most recommendations are to grow in full into partial shade, especially in hot climate. In colder areas, trees can prosper in full sun but usualE are better areas where they do not receive a lot of afternoon sun. It should be noted that the sun does not necessarily kill maple. However, this can affect the appearance of the leaves.

Probably one of the most important factors, when people grow Japanese maple, choose land that is well drained. If the soil does not drain particularly well, plant Japanese maple in a slightly shallower hole and do not forget to plant at least in partial shadow. It can also help when people plan to use organic soil, such as compost, as soon as the tree is placed in it to fill the hole.

Many of them will have to determine how large a hole is necessary for planting a tree. It depends on the size of the root ball. Usually these trees are planted when they reach a height of about a few feet or less. The root ball may vary depending on the height of the tree. Standard instructions are kicking sticks just a little deeper than the root ball but the youngThe two and preferably three times as wide. The tree has shallow roots and this allows it to spread out.

There are also some Japanese maple varieties that prosper very well in larger pots. Although things like oak barrels may seem natural planting containers for small trees, it does not always last well, and this may require a re -landing at a future point. More durable planting containers are more suitable because some trees can live for many years.

After the gardeners were successfully able to plant Japanese maple, plants must take care of during the first few weeks and months. Regular irrigation is quite important and people should plan water once a week if there are no frequent rains. Usually no fertilization is required, and although Japanese maple can get occasional aphid contamination, they do not tend to control the pests.
