What are baby tears?

Child tears are land cover plants that add decorative attraction in the house or in a greenhouse. It is known that plants similar to moss that come in several varieties grow in conservatory and terrariums. The watering containers and hanging baskets are ideal plants for these lush, bright green plants that show off their small leaves and flowers. Slight conditions, such as warm weather and balanced fertilizer, help the child's tears grow about two to six inches in height (about 0.05 to 0.15 m). Common names include Irish moss and "mind-you-the-business". When this plant is planted in suitable conditions such as moisture and bright indirect sunlight, it grows as high as six inches (about 0.15 m). Leaves and flowers can spread to about 0.25 inches (approximately 0.63 cm). Bright green leaves of the tears of the baby come in the round, heart and kidney shapes, while small white flowers add to the beauty of garden plants. Variegata version produces glossy, silvery green leaves while the varietyThe aurea form small, gold-green leaves. In any case, children's tears are creeping plants that require care for their long and end leaves to prevent them from attacking the window sill or kitchen areas.

These specific types of garden plants adapt to most humid environments and are more compatible with drained, wet soil and adequate light. The morning sunlight does not hurt the plant during the winter season, but the direct summer sun can burn its leaves. Child tears should be placed near the curtain to ensure indirect but adequate sunlight. The interior lighting also works well. Temperatureures must range from 45 degrees Fahrenheit (about 7.2 degrees Celsius) to warmer than 75 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 24 degrees Celsius).

Gardeners recommend peat -based peat -based peat for repot and planting children's tears. These creeping plants from familiesY urticaceae can be planted in containers during spring if it gets bright indirect sunlight and enough space that must prosper. The use of balanced water -soluble fertilizer during spring, summer and fall increases growth, although fertilization is optional. Irrigation should occur regularly to ensure that the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Leaves and flowers easily dry when the plants do not get enough water and too much water causes root rot.
