What are Clampiggers?

Clampiggers are pants with a length of medium drop, closely related to Capri pants. Unlike Capris, however, Klamdiggers tend to be more bags and create an informal look that many people connect to the beach. Clampiggers can be found in many department stores, especially in the summer months, and come in a variety of cuts and styles. The defining point of the style is a length that is shorter than conventional pants, but longer than shorts. Depending on the designer, the clams may be lined just below the knee or halfway by the calf. Clampiggers were historically worn by people who kick the clams for life and some members of the naval community. These pants are also useful for cycling, because the short length prevents pants from capturing the gears and pedals, which explains the slang term "pedal pressures".

Clampiggers can be worn by men and women, although they are most commonly seen in women. The top of the style comeEl in the 1950s, when numerous celebrities played pants, although the pants began to comeback at the end of the 90's. Depending on the style, the pants can be complemented by a belt, embroidery or other ornaments or left simple to avoid daring from stylish blouses or bold sets of shoes. For shorter people, finding good klamdiggers may be a challenge, as the length may look strange on shorter legs.

Many people like to wear klamdiggers during the summer months because they are colder than pants along the entire length, but but more modest than shorts. These occasional pants can also be well paired with a wide range of things, from wrapped peaks for beach to fastening Haleb for an informal assembly. Women tend to look best in clampiggers when they wear a heel or wedge shoe, because these shoes stretch calves and tend to cause it to lag behind it.
