The related form of struggle, melee, was also proven in Hastilude competitions; In Melee, while people theoretically fight as teams, they work in such nearby neighborhoods that they are forced to act as individuals.

People could also compete in Quintain, which includes hitting a wooden destination on foot or from horses, as well as attempts by fighting and justing. Demonstrations of archery skills have sometimes also appeared in Hastiludes. The nobles often took the fields to defend their honor, or delegate specific knights as their champions to represent them in Thastiludes, and although Hastiludes were all in fun, the defeat of the noble or champion would be a reason for commentary.

in another form of Hastilude, Pass D'Anges, a group of knights took overAnd a specific place, such as the gate or bridge, and has committed itself to defend against all the incoming. Anyone who wanted to go through would have to fight the knights for the privilege; Women were generally allowed as an act of courtesy, although many ladies have left the traditions that the knights would return to them after the successful defeat of Challengers.
