What are the hermits?

The hermit crab is a small crustacean that belongs to the phylum of arthropods. Hermitian crabs with about 1,400 known species live either on Earth, in intermediate areas or in deep and shallow waters of the oceans. They are located virtually all over the world, from the tropics to the Arctic. The name Hermit Crab is somewhat incorrect, because hermit crabs are social animals that usually travel in large groups.

The most prominent characteristic of a hermit is that it uses a shell of another animal as a home. Gastropod shells, usually snails, are best. The hermit crab is not aggressive, and therefore usually does not attack a live worm for its shell if it is not ill. The hermit crab prefers shells that are already released.

Unfortunately, some hermit crabs take advantage of artificial objects that pollute oceans and beaches to create their home. Crazmil crabs have been seen in small glasses, plastic housings don't worry any other rejection thatwill do. Experts believe that this behavior is the result of a decline in gastropod shells available. They believe that pollution causes a decrease in snail population, which, together with the practice of seashell collection, forces Cleamita Krab to be located in artificial materials.

The hermit crab cannot stay in the same shell forever. The biggest reason why the hermit crab must look for other shells is that it increases and of course the shell is not. When shells are available, many Hermit crabs often switch shells in finding the final adjustment. The hermit crab rarely leaves its shell, but must do so occasionally to join, molt or move to a new shell.

hermits use shells because they have an extremely soft belly that requires protection against predators. The visible part of the hermit crab consists of a hard exoskeletBeating food and defense and other relatively small claws used to eat. Both claws help the hermit crab in its passionate climbing. The hidden part of the Hermit Crab body has small legs that allow him to move when he moves from his shell and helps to anchor the body when it is inside the shell.

Kraby Hermit has become a popular pet, which is often sold or wins on Seaside Boardwalks. Unfortunately, they see much as low maintenance, throwing pets that replace traditional carnival goldfish. It is almost impossible to breed the hermits of crabs in captivity because they require the sea to insert eggs. For this reason, shops with pets and promenades must get hermits' crabs directly from the wild.
