What are the insulation boards?

insulation boards are a type of insulation used in households. The isolation is created by man and formed into boards for easy transport and insulation. The insulation boards are cut to match the space for which they are intended and may require another time for uneven spaces.

There are six different types of insulation boards and each has different strengths and weaknesses. Different types of plate insulation are glass fiber, enlarged polystyrene, extruded polystyrene, phenolic foam, polyurethane and polyisocyanuration. These materials are selected on the basis of their insulation values. Because these materials are chemically based, they tend to cost more than free or batt insulation.

Insulation boards are produced with moisture and resistant to fire or decorative coating. Some manufacturers sell preliminary boards to meet the exact requirements. Others create boards with a unique connection system to facilitate installation.

There are two types of insulating deseof glass fibers; under class and higher class. Both types are for external use. The above mark has the water -repellent paper attached. The class below has an insulating value of 0.029 RSI (insulation value R).

Expanded polystyrene insulation boards are made by pressing coarse balls into the form plates. This type of insulation is often called beads due to the nature of the production process. There are two densities, high density with 0.028 RSI and low density with 0.026 RSI.

high density boards are used in dry sandy soil along the outer endowment walls because there are more resistance to moisture. Due to the nature of the materials, they cannot be exposed to the sun, solvents or other chemicals. Make sure these boards have fire resistant to cover.

Extruded polystinen insulation boards are produced into boards made of small closed cellsK with captured air and fluorocarbons. These refrigerant gases increase the insulation value. These types of boards come both in low density, with an insulation value of 0.033 RSI and a high density version, with an insulation value of 0.035 RSI.

Polyurethane and polyisocyanuration of the board have the same basic design as extruded polystinen boards, but contain only fluorocarbons. These boards are produced with a foil coating and have an insulating value of 0.040 RSI. As with all artificial products, they must have a coating or coverage of fire slowing.

Phenolic foam insulation boards are only used in special installations where there is a requirement for low combustion insulation. The boards are made of phenol formaldehyde resin. This product absorbs water and must therefore be installed on both sides for proper installation.
