What are the parachute pants?

parachute pants are an iconic style of pants. They are referred to as "parachute" pants partly because of their cut and partly because they are made of synthetic nylon material, such as the production of parachutes. Although mostly recognizable because of the use of dancers and entertainers Break, pants also enjoy the status of FAD associated with the 80s.

parachute pants are characterized by their special cut and the fabric with which they are made. Their best -known attribute is their bagginess, followed by the nylon synthetic material Ripstop from which they are created. Bagginess is concentrated around the thighs, but the cut narrows on its feet to create a tight assembly around the ankle. In many ways, Bell Bottoms, which are tight around the thighs, appear to be the opposite of Bell Bottoms, and drastically relax when they reach the ankle area.

parachute pants found their height in popularity in the 80s. During this decade, the growing number of dancing on a stop and entertainer such asVanilla Ice and MC Hammer helped popularize the style. As a result, parachute pants have become a fad that is now largely associated with decades and its popular culture.

Despite its place in fashion history, the parachute pants also used legitimately functional purpose. Dance Break decided to wear these pants largely because the material reduced friction between the body and the floor of the dancer and protected the turning point from burns that could be suffered after continuous contact with the surface. The trousers also allowed them to stay in the dancer, regardless of the movements. These pants also provided a durable uniform because the material was robust and easily multiplied.

Like many other fashion pieces, the parachute pants could be decorated. The pants were often made of brightly coloredn. Pants could also be made with a printed substance. Other zippers, pockets and folds were often added to the pants, although many of them were less than functional and mainly added to the aesthetic value of pants. However, other folds could prove to be advantageous for dancers, because the folds could move together with the dancer and add a dramatic taste to the show.

parachute pants should not be confused with harem pants. Styles are similar, but there are some differences between them. The main difference lies in the cut of pants. Harem trousers usually have a consistent leg width, but are collected by the ankle. On the other hand, the parachute pants are wider in the thigh area and begin to gather under the knee, resulting in close adaptation around the ankle.
