What are pets?

For anyone who needs perfect pets - low maintenance, cheap and obedient - Gary Dahl has offered the perfect solution: home rocks. In April 1975, Dahl, California working in advertising, joking with friends about how the ideal pet was. His pet never did, he did not make any clutter and did not cost much money. His friends helped him praise the virtues of the "home" rock and a fad was born. Over the next two weeks, Dahl wrote a pet manual, a guide for owners who wanted to have a good relationship with their home rocks. The manual contained instructions for teaching the tricks of your home rock, such as how to play dead and overturn, as well as how to accommodate a rock. Owners were instructed to place their home rocks "on some old newspapers. The rock will never know what paper is for and will not require any further teaching."

After writing the Dahl manual created a rock for pets. He bought the beach Rosaritakánen at the builder's shop. This kaMen, round gray pebble, was the most expensive stone in the shop.
