What are reeds?

Reeds are permanent grasses that are classically distinguished by having hollow stems and wide leaves. These grasses usually grow in wetlands and can be found in mild and tropical areas of the world, with some types of reeds growing in a colder environment. People have been using reeds for different tasks from roof to Papermaing for centuries. This term is also used to discuss the blades such as papyrus, and is sometimes used in a reference to Cattails. All plants called "reeds" share the above features, some of which are interchangeable for different human uses, while others have very specific use. For example, papyrus was historically used in the creation of papermark. As the reeds grow and colonize the area, they create a reed bed. The reed beds create shelter and habitat for a number of animal species and also slowly change the environment. The longer the reed bed lives, the more organic material is being built until the reeds find themselves on dry soil. Reed beds are often used in artificialConstructed wetlands and are also useful for drawing toxins from contaminated soil, as they can be used to sequencing toxins and then removal.

Many birds like to visit areas with large reed beds, because several species of birds are commonly found in conjunction with reeds. Conservatory like to encourage the development of reed beds for the same reason. The reed beds also help prevent floods and land loss in areas where swamps were disrupted by human activity.

Common reed is probably the most famous and widely distributed reed. The ROO has been used by a conventional Thatche reed for centuries and is also used to make baskets and woven reed mats. Common reeds can also be cropped and fired to produce raw pencils on coal or tips of the pen and can also be dissolved to form a rough form of paper.

reed that gives the name of the reedsM in music instruments, is arundo donax , giant reeds. It is originally from the Mediterranean, although it has since spread to other regions of the world due to human cultivation. As the name suggests, this reed can be quite large and is also known for its incredibly fast growth.
