What are the dividers of the room shoji?
The dividers of the Shoje room are traditional Japanese floor screens used to divide the room. They can also be used to hide or highlight certain aspects of the room. Generally speaking, they are made of bamboo and rice paper. Traditionally, they have either three or four rectangular panels.
The rectangular screen has vertical and horizontal bamboo parts that provide it with strength and support. Bamboo pieces around the edges of each scaje divider screen are larger than the inner pieces and the inner grid is made of a lighter piece of bamboo or wood. The bamboo or wooden screen frame is suspended on another screen to create a divider of the room.
Once the bamboo frame is completed, it can be painted or stained. The color of the frame and the grid increases the decorative nature of the shoji room dividers. The dividers can have one color on the outer frame and another color for the support grid on the screens. Some dividers are Spo the entire screen grid has gained the same color.
rice paper is adjacentPen to the scaje screen grid. Rice paper can be moistened during the application process to stretch and be stretched against the screen grid. Some dividers of the shoje room have a grid on both sides of the rice paper and some may have rice paper on both sides of the bamboo grid.
Once rice paper is applied to the screen, it can be decorated. Traditionally, rice paper for the screen was painted by a Japanese motif. Some room dividers have decorative rice paper, similar to wallpaper, applied to the screen than to add the decoration after application of the paper to the screen. Shoji screens used for doors or other types of decoration are generally left.
The strength and weight of the divider's divider depends on a number of factors. The Sbambus screen or a wooden grid on both sides is stronger and heavier than one with one grid. The screen with a grid on one side may beconsidered to be more delicate and lighter weight. The section, which is permanent, will not have to move regularly, so its weight is not important. A section that is light can be easier to move more often.
