What are the different types of attic insulation?

There are several types of insulation attic used to insulate the attic access doors. From rigid foam to batty made of glass fibers, attic insulation prevents access or entrance to the attic or cold. Blown insulation can also be used as an attic insulation for the attic, which the owner of the house will not see little useless. In insulation of the attic, a combination of two or more insulating materials is often used in conjunction to insulation of the attic hatch. There are several types of insulating types of attic on the market, but the use of each depends on the frequency of the use of the attic door. For doors that see heavy use, the foam insulation plate is usually the best insulation of the attic. This product is not extremely difficult to use and allows you to repeatedly open and close the door without damaging the foam plate. The main difficulty of using this type of insulation of attic hatches is the amount of foam required for the corresponding insulation value of other types of insulation.

Insulate attic doors that will only see occasional use, using a combination of foam plate and insulation of the battle from glass fibers usually provide good results. Batty can be connected to the foam plate to provide an insulating package that is not easy to get out of the door after opening. Adding Batts from glass fibers to foam increases the insulating factor of the door hatch compared to the foam plate itself. Other types of insulation that work well on the attic door are spray cellulose and insulating products for spraying foam. Both of them require the door removal in most cases.

For the attic doors, which are rarely or never open, spray, expand insulation to foam expansion, is often the best choice. This type of insulation can spray on a very thick layer while the door is open. When the door is closed, foam is able to expand to more than 100 times SVThe original thickness and effectively seal all gaps around the attic door. This type of attic insulation must be used very quickly to prevent the door from closing. It is also wise for people to have a bucket of hot water and a cloth to clean any foam that leaks the crack before cure.
