What are the different types of retro dress?

Retro dress is a dress that dates back to 40 to 70 years. Every decade of fashion had several very distinctive fashion trends. Among the more prominent types of retro dress include dress, Hawaiian prints, shirts, mini dress and peasant dress.

During and after World War II, women began to wear dresses that were much more adapted and bolder. One popular style of dress is now referred to as a "wiggle" dress. This style of dress fits very firmly through the bust, waist and hips. The line of the dress then follows firmly along the thigh and legs and ends just below the knee. These dresses often had slots at the back or front so that the wearer could walk.

Some retro dresses from 40 years were made using Hawaiian printed fabrics. During this period, most of the world experienced great solidarity with Hawaii for bombing in Pearl Harbor, and the popularity of these dresses could be the result of it. These dresses were usually airmen with busts mounted and passports.

Retro dresses from the 1950s had a passportwith a full skirt. One popular style was called "Shirts" dress. The upper part of the dress style was like a button shirt, complemented by a pointed collar. The creaking was full and collected, falling just below the knee and attached to the passport. These dresses usually had narrow strips made of the same fabric as the dress.

The 1960s introduced the fashion world of mini dresses and is probably the most striking style of dress that dates back to that time. The overall design of these dresses varies. Some had the passports of the empire, inflated sleeves and full skirts and were usually referred to as "baby doll" dress. Many others were the style of the line that concerns the dresses that are mounted at the top, and then gradually expands how to fall. The length of the hem for the mini retro dress was usually several inches above the knee. Dresses that barely cover the buttocks were called "micro" minis.

retro dress from the late sixties and early 1970s were stronglyinfluenced by the Hippie movement. The peasant dress is probably the most characteristic of this era. These dresses usually had necklines that are off the shoulder, usually contain a wide raw ruffled. In many cases, these dresses had passports and full skirts. Most of the time the dress was made of soft cotton.
