What are the different types of spiders?
There are more than 40,000 different species of spiders that have been identified by taxonomists and spider specialists, called Arachnologists. They fall into two main categories: Mesothelae and Opisthothelae. These two sub -commands are differentiated mainly by the abdomen.
Mesothelae spiders have segmented albums and ganglia in the abdomen and four pairs of spinnerettes. Opisthothelae spiders do not have a segmented album or ganglie in the abdomen and have one, two or three pairs of spinnerettes. The vast majority of spiders fall into the second category, with only about 87 species that fall into the first category. Spider species are found on every continent except Antarctica and in every natural environment with the exception of the sea or air. They include the largest order of arachnides and are the seventh most diverse among organisms.
Almost all known spider species are predators, although some of them can derive up to 90% or more food from the plants, making them vegetarian species. Most feed on insects but some go afterLarger prey, such as birds and lizards. They all have fangs that can accumulate venom, but only a few spiders have a poison that is potentially harmful to people. While the average life cycle of the spider is only about two years, it was known that some spiders such as tarantulas live in captivity for up to 25 years.
Most spider species live and work independently, but it was known that several of them show social characteristics similar, but not as complicated as insects. One species in the Theridiidae family consists of colonies of up to 50,000 spiders. Some cooperate only on the protection of eggs and young spiders, but others join forces to also hunt and capture prey.
The web of the spider is a well -known method of capturing prey and the characteristics of websites is very different. Unfortunately, there is no relationship to the type of site that turned the spider and its classification in the Kingdom of Animals. In spite of this, the spiders can be a sisterPenni to orb web spinners and non orb web spinners. Orb Webs have a distinct formula with direct lines ranging from the center, such as bike rays, and radial web lines connecting rays. Outside orb sites do not follow any clear formula and are often called cobwebs.
According to modern taxonomists, more than 40,000 spiders were divided into more than a hundred different families, but for some scientists it sufficiently simplified. Since 1900 there were 20 or more proposal for categorizing spiders in different ways. In addition, research on this topic, as well as scientific confusion and discussion.
