What are the different types of trees?

There are about 100,000 trees worldwide. Although most of these species are in a tropical environment, trees can be found almost throughout the world. When counting all species of trees, trees are 25% of all plant life. Different tree species can be divided into many different categories such as forest species, evergreen species or endangered species.

The plant must have several characteristics to be categorized as a type of tree. Most experts agree that the trees are permanent, which means they have lived for at least two years. The trees are also a typically woody plant, and many scientists claim that the trees will have a clearly defined trunk with branches. These trees can survive in a tropical and subtropical environment. They often occur in rainforests, along with certain regions of Australia and South Pacific.

are over 100 species of tropical species of trees, while arecaceae, commonly known as Palma, is one of the most famous. Most palm trees require a low, wet area to be successful, but there are 130 lesser -known species of palm trees that grow outside the tropical areas. Although palm trees have a minimalist appearance, they have been used for many purposes in history, from practical sources to spiritual rituals.

"Evergreen" classification means that these trees keep their green leaves throughout the year and never fall into traditional seasonal patterns. Evergreen trees tend to flourish even in the harshest environments. Pine can be found in warm ocean settings, but can also carry long freezing winters in North America and Canada. Although pine and other evergreens may survive despite drastic temperature fluctuations, usually non -acidic soil for growth.

deciduous trees are the opposite of evergreen. These types of trees have an annual formula of leaves changing colors, bare branches, blooming buds and leaf green life. Deciduous literally means "what falls". Leaves wouldLy start falling at the beginning of cold weather or how the atmosphere starts to dry. Some deciduous tree species include birch, oaks or poplars.

Several types of trees have reached an endangered list. Bois Dentelle is the most precious species of trees alive. There are only two Bois Dentelles, both growing on Mauritius. These trees have bell -shaped flowers with petals reminiscent of lace. Although experts have not decided that for their decline, most do not believe that their threat is the result of any human acts.
