What is the bass pipe?

Bass trumpet is a brass tool similar to a conventional tube, but a larger size. That is why it sounds below, while the real bass trumpets are more comparable on the pitch than the triggers. This tool is also known as Basstromete in German, the Bass thrombus in Italian and Trompette Basse in French. His initial instrument was built as a tenor tool. Later, Stölzel developed bass trumpets that were real bass instruments. The original bass trumpets had only three valves, but modern bass trumpets have four. In fact, the length of the hose in the bass tube is almost identical to the length of the hoses in the rogue. The bass trumpet is also similar in size to the trombone. For this reason, the players often perform on the bass tube, but some trumpeters also play on the bass trumpet.

Experienced players of this type of trumpet can produce pedal tones between E1 and BB1. The lower register is between E2 and BB3. The middle range is between BB3 and F4, while the upper range is F4 to C5. The whole range of bass trumpetY extends on E1 on C5 or one octave below the range of common trumpets.

Modern bass trumpets are tools. They are often designed in BB with music written in Treble Clef ninth over the real playground. However, some are in C, the octave is written. Several of them are built in EB, sounded sixth below, but they are rarer.

As far as sound is concerned, the bass pipe does not sound as rich and full as thrombon. However, it is preferred because the tone is much darker than a conventional tube. The composers combined this color with magical, strength and sinister characters or events. The bass tube is also incredibly powerful, with Fortissimo on the instrument is the equivalent of several regular trumpets or French corners.

The most respected work with this tool with great importance is perhaps the Ring des Nibelungen by Richard Wagner. This work has a tool to double normal trumpets but also a requiredFrequent solo gaming. Other remarkable composers who used this tool are Igor Stravinks, Richard Strauss and Arnold Schoenberg. Although this instrument is best known for its role in classical music, people also used it in modern jazz and pop.
