What is Bibron's gecko?

Bibron's gecko is a type of gecko belonging to the family called Pachydactylus or strongly top geckos. The name of this geckon could be inferred from the name of French zoologist Gabriel Bibron, who gave him the scientific name "Pachydactylus Bibronii". Bibron's gecko can be largely found in South Africa and can be kept as a pet. Its skin contains warts similar to bumps called tubercles protruding from the back, so the reptile is rough and scaly. Its color can range from shades of olive to gray and brown and has a striped formula of black and white, along with random spraying of small dots. Like most reptiles, this gecko usually has a segmented tail, sometimes emphasized stripes that pass through it. It is interesting to note that none of the patterns of these geckos is similar.

This reptile is reportedly daily and performs most of its activities during the day, such as hunting, eating or even sunbathing during the day. Bibron's gecko is also described as earthly iArborreal, which means they live comfortably either on the ground and rocks or high in the trees. Its neutrally colored leather allows a very comfortable camouflage, which makes the reptile easier to hide between rocks or branches. The species is also built to be fast runners, perhaps for effectively running to and from their double stations and leakage from predators. As far as food is concerned, this gecko is also called insects because they primarily eat insects, a stable diet sufficiently secured by their habitats.

These geckos often live in colonies, sometimes up to 20 Gekos per group. However, they can be very territorial and dominant, especially male species during Mating Seasons. It is not unusual that it is not uncommon after the fight against another geckon. That is why many experts recommend potential owners of pets to have separate cages for each gecko, especially male species to prevent them from fighting or eating each other. Most, one man and woman can be held in the same cage.

gecko of female bibronaIt erasures twice a year, ie two -year and produces an average of two eggs in a period. Egg periods are usually during spring and winter and hatching occurs in summer and autumn. The Baby Bibron gecko may initially have a full color, but eventually and gradually generates stripes and dots, as well as an adult.
