What is a blue shrub?
Blue shrub is on a permanent plant similar to shrubs that belong to the plant family chenopodiaeae . They are commonly used for boundary purposes, but can also serve as a privacy barrier. This plant comes from Australia, but can also be found in parts of Africa. The blue bush plant has unusual and colored leaves. Generally, silver gray to light is blue, depending on the plant, although it can also be purple. They are light blue and elongated with a pointed tip. In the middle of the leaflet is a deep vein with smaller veins that surround it. Leaves and flowers are supported by small tanned to dark brown stems. The reason is due to color purple flowering, which this plant produces early in the spring. Small individual flowers are collected in the cluster to create what seems to be a single -door flower in the shape of a tube. When these flowers are in full flower, it is virtually impossible to see any other part of the plant. Blue shrub flowers have light, pleasant smell.
Although the blue shrub is a shrub, it can grow a height of 36 inches (about 80 cm). It can also grow to fill the space as wide. This plant cannot survive at temperatures that fall below 30 degrees Fahrenheit (around -1 ° C), so they must be grown in warm climate. The blue shrub should be placed in an area that receives at least four hours of direct sunlight every day. This plant can be placed in a partial shade, but does not create as many flowers as it would be in full sunlight.
Before planting the blue shrub, the soil should be tested. This plant likes alkaline soil and if the soil balance is not suitable, fertilizers can be added to enrich it. The blue shrub is resistant to drought and does not need an excessive amount of water to be healthy. However, it should be planted on a slight hill so that the water can drain from the fine root system. Too much watering can be significantly damaged by the rootsor even kill the plant.
