What is the Boston Terrier?
Boston Terrier, or Boston Bull, was given an American kennel in 1893 the official status of the breed. The cross between the now extinct English terrier and the English bulldog, the Boston Terrier, originally kept sometime at the age of 80, is one of the few dog breeds in the United States.
Boston Terrier was originally bred for fighting. This version, known as Olde Boston Bulldogge, was significantly larger and weighed about £ 44 (20 kg). Over the years, the descendants of the original cross were bred down, probably with a smaller French bulldog to create a smaller version of the Boston Terrier, more suitable for society than Carnage.
Today's Boston Terrier can weigh from £ 1 to £ 25 (5.9 to 11.3 kg), an average of £ 15 (7 kg). They usually reach a height of the shoulders of 15 to 17 inches (38 to 43.2 cm). The Boston Terrier coat is short, elegant and smooth, with distinctive brands. Thet, ears and eye areas should be black, cut or seals. White should coverForchest and Čámc and between the eyes should be a white flame. Ideally, there should be a white stripe around the neck, white hind legs and white reaching halfway along the front limbs.
The ears of the Boston Terrier are upright and should be well proportions in relation to the size of the head. The member is short and the face is square. The tail is short or non -existent.
Personality-wise, Boston Terrier is known for its intelligence, independence and alertness. It can be socialized to get along quite well with children and other pets and is usually fine and well kept. As a breed it can be intentional and problems with domestic substances are sometimes a problem.
Although Boston Terriers are generally relatively easy to breed, they are susceptible to certain health complaints. Beause Boston Terriers have large eyes that slightly bulged, are prone to eye injury. The eye injury can developUT on the ulcers of the cornea, which are painful and difficult to treat, and can lead to impaired vision or even loss of the eye. Therefore, eye protection should be taken.
In addition to injury, there are a number of eye diseases to which the Boston Terrier is prone. These include cherry eyes, glaucoma, corneal dystrophy and keratitis sicca. Eye Eye Eye (CERF) registry registry foundation recommends an annual eye test for dogs. The best way to prevent many of these conditions is their elimination by their breeding from the gene fund.
Due to its short mouth, the Boston Terrier is sensitive to extremes at temperature and therefore cannot tolerate great activity in very hot or very cold weather. Their short muzzle also leads to a large amount of snorting and loud snoring and swallowing excess air, while the dog is eating. It does not cause any discomfort to the dog, although someone who shares the room shortly afterwards will be less than pleased by the leakage of this excess air.
although they enjoy the designIt is not a large exercise, which makes them ideal residents of the apartment. Their average life expectancy is 13 years.
