What is a bottle brush?

The

bottle or callistemon tree is medium -sized with distinctly shaped flowers. As its name suggests, flowers are shaped as cylindrical brushes used to clean children's bottles. It is originally from Australia, but also grows in areas with a slight climate. There are several varieties of this tree, including a crying mold and a dwarf size. Most cultivars have red, pink or white flowers. Each has a typical tree shape with an average spread of canopy. callistemon viminalis is a crying form that is very similar to the beating willow. This variety can grow to 20 feet (6 meters) tall, with long branches falling towards the ground. Dwarf brushes are rather a shrub than a tree, growing only 3 feet (1 meter) high.
