What is a bow?

Bow Harp is a type of stringed musical instrument in the Harp family. The name concerns the distinctive, curved shape of the tool body. There are several different types of gods of harp, including Egyptian, African and Appalachian Bow Harp. Each of these types also comes in different sizes and varieties.

The harp itself is an ancient instrument, so old that its exact origin is difficult to watch. Yet it is believed that the concept for some of the earliest harp came from hunters who jerked on the strings attached to their hunting bows. In fact, the name itself could have come from an ancient Norwegian or German word Harpa, which roughly translated, means to ecstasy. Sometimes the As Egyptian harp is recognized, because the earliest display of the instrument can be found in ancient tombs of the Egyptian pharaohs. This type of Harfa bow can have anywhere from four to 22 chains. Harpers tune the strings to different tones and tear them uniquely or unison to create melodicthe sound.

Another version known as the African Bohos Harp consists of a flat base in the shape of a ship, usually covered with skin or animal skin, with a hole in the center. Luke rises from one end of the base. The chains, usually ten, but sometimes less, are attached at an angle from the tip of the bow to the base and some say that the instrument resembles a Viking ship. Musicians usually hold the instruments on their wheels and pull the strings thumbs and ancestors.

Appalachian Bow Harp, sometimes called oral bow, also resembles a hunting bow with its smooth, a crescent shape. This particular tool generally has only one string and may vary in length, with some hand of man, while others are only about one leg (0.3 meters). Musicians place the tip of the bow of the harp on the corner of their mouths and pull the only chain with their thumb. They create sound variations by moving the mouth and change the way they pull the string. Depending onIts size can produce a Twang tool similar to guitar or drum type.
